American Community Survey

New York incomes by area and race

The same New York microdata areas and years as the sector view, split by self-reported race instead.

Neighbourhood income distributions vary across time, space, and race

15 million people's answers to the 2005–2022 surveys, for the public use microdata areas that overlap the New York–Newark–Jersey City core-based statistical area as drawn in 2020, grouped by the race each respondent reported for themselves.

The categories are the Census Bureau's own, including the ones that overlap — "American Indian or Alaska Native" appears alongside separate "American Indian" and "Alaska Native" entries because the survey has carried all three over this period. They are shown as collected rather than merged.
